Over 100 MediCinema patients and families joined Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends on their expedition to London at special preview screenings of Christopher Robin last month, and, thanks to a groundbreaking collaboration between Disney, the UKCA, its members and us, thousands more patients will have the chance to go on magical expeditions together in the future.
As part of our recent collaboration with Disney, over 100 of our patients and their families got to see Christopher Robin before its general release, accompanying Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends on their expedition beyond the Hundred Acre Wood.
As well as enjoying a special preview of the film, our patients and their families enjoyed Winnie-the-Pooh face-painting.
And each patient was given a soft toy of one of the friends from Hundred Acre Woods, to take home.
Ten-year-old Arlo, pictured below, said:
‘I loved it! Really took my mind off being in here. This is now my favourite cinema! It doesn't feel like a hospital.’
We’re so grateful to Disney for working with us to create Moments that Matter for our patients and those closest to them.
"Thank you. What a wonderful way to help children take their mind off such a difficult time."
