Summer of Fundraising!

26th Jun 2018

Here at MediCinema we are so excited for our Feel Better Festival, the Summer of FUNdraising! With headliners Every(s)mile, the MediCinema Cycle 100 and many more ways to get involved!

On 4th July, Everyman Cinemas are walking 480 miles with the aim of raising £30,000 in total for MediCinema! Fundraisers are aiming to raise £15,000 and if they do Everyman Cinemas will match it with a further £15,000!

The route connects all 22 Everyman Cinemas with different teams walking different legs of the journey but all walking from one Everyman Cinema to another.

The day will end with a special screening of The Greatest Showman at each Everyman Cinema, giving everyone the chance to come and support MediCinema whilst celebrating every (s)mile walked that day. For more information and to book tickets, please click here. All proceeds will go towards our work to help people feel better with film.

If you can’t make the film, you can still support them by donating to their fundraising page.

Thank you so much, Everyman! To us, you are all the greatest and we hope you’re smiling through every mile!

On Thursday 5th July, our partners in the film industry are cycling 100km around the rolling hills of Surrey to raise £10,000 for us!

So far we have teams signed up from Vue, Vista, TH_NK, Sony, CinemaNext, Powster, Disney and many more!
Click here to see their fundraising page and show them your support. Every donation of £12 will give one patient a night at the movies.

Thank you so much to everyone taking part! We know you’ll all be wheelie wheelie tyred but we hope you can pedal through!

Also on Thursday 5th July, the Inspire Community Choir are holding their summer performance, Songs from the Movies, and are donating the proceeds to us!

Songs include: Singing in the Rain, My Heart Will Go On from Titanic, Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid and Tightrope from The Greatest Showman.

The concert address is Crown Lane, Morden, SM4 5BL (nearest tube: Morden) and the performance begins at 7:30pm.

Tickets for the concert are available via:

Morden Baptist Church – telephone: 020 8540 9380; email: mbc@faithinmorden.com.
